Follow these steps to configure your contact list and seamlessly import contacts from Outlook into Trovve.
Step 1: Access Your Contacts
- Open Contacts:
- Click on Contacts from the main menu.
- Select People from the submenu.
Step 2: Initial Setup
- Start Setup:
- If it’s your first time setting up contacts, you’ll see a message:
- “Your contacts list is currently empty. Let’s get you started by setting up your contacts.”
- Click the blue setting up link to begin.
- If it’s your first time setting up contacts, you’ll see a message:
Step 3: Configure Contact Preferences

Choose Contact Types:
- Decide which customer types you want to track.
- Select one or more predefined contact types or click + Add to create your own.
- These choices can be updated later.

Document Storage Options:
- Indicate if you want to store documents for your contacts.
- If your Microsoft account isn’t connected, you’ll need to connect it to proceed.

Select Storage Location:
- Choose SharePoint as the location for storing contact files.
- A document library will be automatically created, with folders for each contact to organize their files.
Step 4: Import Contacts from Outlook

Confirm Import:
- After setting your preferences, you’ll be asked if you want to import your contacts from Outlook.

Complete Setup:
- Click the Finish button to start the import.
- The import process may take a few minutes, and your contacts will appear once it’s complete.
Reimporting or Managing Contacts Settings
Reimport Contacts
- If you’ve already set up your contacts and need to reimport from Outlook:
- Go to People in the Contacts section.
- Click the three dots beside the filter icon.
- Select Import to reimport contacts from Outlook.
Manage Contact Settings
- Access Settings from the same menu to:
- View the SharePoint location where contact files are stored.
- Edit or add contact types.
- Add, edit, or delete tags used for organizing contacts.
By following these steps, you can quickly set up your contact list, import Outlook contacts, and manage them efficiently in Trovve. This ensures seamless organization and easy access to all your contact-related data.
