How to Manage SharePoint Files in Trovve

Trovve enables you to access and manage your SharePoint files and libraries easily. You can perform bulk actions and access a variety of file options directly within the platform. Follow these steps to navigate, create, and organize SharePoint files.

Accessing SharePoint Files

  1. Navigate to SharePoint Files:

    • Click Files in the main menu.
    • By default, you'll land on the Team Resources page.
    • To switch to SharePoint:
      • Click the Team Resources dropdown.
      • Select SharePoint.
    • A list of your SharePoint sites will appear.
  2. Access SharePoint Libraries:

    • Click on a SharePoint site to view its libraries.
    • Use the Add Library button if you need to connect new libraries.

 

Managing Files and Folders

Create New Files or Folders

  • Click the + New Item button to add new files or folders to the library.

Navigating Folders and Files

  • Open Folders:
    • Click on a folder name to navigate into it without leaving Trovve.
  • Open Files:
    • Click on a file to open it in a new browser tab.
    • Any changes made are instantly updated in SharePoint.

 

Performing Bulk Actions

Select Multiple Files or Folders

  1. Enable Selection Mode:

    • Click the Select button (next to the X Close button) to activate selection mode.
  2. Choose Items:

    • Click on one or more files or folders to select them.
  3. Available Bulk Actions:

    • Move To: Move selected items to a different folder or library.
    • Copy To: Copy selected items within the current library or to a different location.
    • Delete: Remove the selected items permanently.

Using the 3 Dots Menu for File Actions

For individual files or folders, you can access additional options via the 3 dots menu next to each item. The available actions are:

  1. Open Location: Opens the folder containing the file in SharePoint.
  2. Add to Task: Creates a new task in Trovve with the file attached.
  3. Add to Shortcuts: Adds the file or folder to your shortcuts for quick access.
  4. Add to My Day: Adds the file to your My Day list in Trovve.
  5. Do Later: Adds the file to your Do Later list.
  6. Copy To: Copies the file to another folder or library.
  7. Move To: Moves the file to a different location.
  8. Copy File Link: Copies a direct link to the file for sharing.
  9. Share: Opens sharing options to send the file to others.
  10. Rename: Allows you to rename the file or folder.
  11. Delete: Permanently deletes the file or folder.

 

Real-Time Updates

  • Any changes you make in Trovve are instantly reflected in SharePoint, ensuring all team members have access to the most current files.

 

By utilizing these features, you can efficiently organize, manage, and collaborate on your SharePoint files directly from Trovve. Whether you're handling multiple files at once or accessing specific actions for individual items, Trovve provides a streamlined experience to enhance your productivity.
