Accessing File Actions

Whether you are using OneDrive or SharePoint through Trovve, you can apply a variety of actions to your files to streamline your workflow. Here’s how you can manage your files efficiently:

  1. Navigate to the File:

    • For OneDrive files, go to the 'My Files' tab.
    • For SharePoint files, click on the 'SharePoint' tab and then navigate to the desired site and library.
  2. Open the Action Menu:

    • Hover over the file name.
    • Click on the three dots that appear on the side to open the action menu.

Available Actions

Here are the actions you can take on files stored in either OneDrive or SharePoint:

  • Open File Location: This action opens the exact location of the file in OneDrive or SharePoint.
  • Add to Task: Allows you to add the file as an attachment to an existing task in Trovve.
  • Add Shortcuts: Adds the file to your shortcut list in Trovve for quick access.
  • Add to My Day: Converts the file into a task and adds it to 'My Day' for immediate attention.
  • Do Later: Schedules the file as a task to be addressed later, with a default due date set for the next day.
  • Copy Link and Share: Generates a URL for the file that can be shared with others, facilitating easy collaboration.
  • Rename: Allows you to change the file name directly from Trovve without having to go to the storage location.

Tips for Efficient File Management

  • Regularly review and update the actions applied to files to keep your tasks and projects organized.
  • Use the 'Add to My Day' and 'Do Later' features to prioritize and schedule your workload effectively.
